Hello, everyone ☺ As I've promised, I'm going to introduce the Cultural and Creative Park which is operated by my university to you. And before this post, I had talked about the common characteristics of the creative parks in Taiwan first (HERE). The NTUA Cultural & Creative Industry Park was a factory of paper, and it's rebuilt by the government after the factory moved to other place and here's no longer running. They kept the old style of walls and constructions, repaint and decorate them to a new public space. There are some artists and companies invited to work in the park, and establish their studios here. Some studios don't welcome visitors when they're working, so I asked my teacher for taking me visit. I apologize for the quality of the pics, I was in a hurry when my teacher called me that they'd approved of our visiting, so I took these pics by my hTC Butterfly >_< There are so many companies here, and I've visited about 5 to 6 companies which are much more representative. I'm going to introduce 2 companies in this post, hope you'll like my sharing. Good day, kisses.xx ☺ 哈囉,大家好 ☺ 正如我之前承諾的,我將介紹一個由我的學校經營管理的文化創意園區給你們。 祝大家有美好的一天 ☺ Pics above is the company called "Eden-Pure", the name "Eden" is a social welfare foundation founded in Taiwan which give support to the disabled and offer job opportunities for them by collaborating with some handicraft studios. The main work of Eden-Pure is training the visually disabled to create works of wool felts. They have made lots of productions, such as scarves, iphone cases, soaps, bags, slippers, and so on. The materiel of these productions are all 100% wool felts. The manager told me that the reason they choose wool felts as the material for the visually disabled to create is, the characteristic of wool felts is soft, natural, elastic and ductility, those make them feel calm, safe, and they would feel the touch of the material to create. For the visually disabled, it's a pretty long way for them getting start on this. From a starter to be skilled, usually take 7 years for each of them. I'm really admire their works and efforts. You could see some artworks of glass. All these works are from the company called, "Jia Mei Color". The main work of this company is creating stained glass. They make the glass into different shapes and goods (such as lamps, windows, clocks, decorations, and so on). And the most popular they provide for visitors is DIY classes.
